 Niekawa-juku(Niekawa,Shiojiri City)  
   
 Narai-juku is one of the post towns in Kiso where people still live. There are souvenir shops and restaurants along the main street, so you can enjoy shopping and eating in those historic buildings.
Narai-juku is preserved and has an historic side, but at the same time it has a contemporary lifestyle. Nakasendo Kisoji is lined with inns, restaurants, shops and houses.

Having the Fukushima Sekisho Border Contro Gate which was one of the 4 main control gates during the Edo Period.
Located on high ground it looks down on the Kiso River. It is now reconstructed as a museum.

Magome-juku was one oj the eleven Kiso post station. The homes of the residents were built on low stone walls along either lf the slope.
